The disclosure relates to new crystalline forms of genistein. The disclosedcrystalline forms include crystallinegenistein sodium salt dihydrate； crystalline genïstein potassium saltdihydrate； crystalline genistein calcium salt； crystalline genisteinmagnesium salt； crystalline genistein L-iysine salt； crystalline genistein N -methy!glucamine salt； crystalline genistein N-ethylglucaminesalt； crystalline genistein diethylamine salt； and crystalline genisteinmonohydrate. The disclosure also relates tothe novel genistein salts represented by these crystalline forms. Therapeuticcompositions containing at least one of these crystallineforms of genistein and/or a genistein salt and a pharmaceutically acceptablecarrier are described. The disclosure also relatesto methods of treating cancer comprising the step of administering to apatient in need thereof a therapeutically effectiveamount of a therapeutic composition containing the compounds of thedisclosure, of a crystalline form of genistein, or of a genisteinsalt.
