A method and an apparatus (100) for extraction of slime (9) from snails (10) by providing the snail a substance (11) able to stimulate the production of slime from the snail, which stimulant is in fluid condition and is brought into contact with the snail through the ambient air surrounding the said snail, in particular being sprayed in the air environment which surrounds the snail. The substance stimulating production of slime includes an active agent dissolved in a solvent, said solvent being in particular consisting of water and said active agent being in particular defined by a salt, preferably from sodium chloride.Linvention concerne un procédé et un dispositif (100) permettant dextraire le mucus (9) descargots (10). Le procédé consiste à fournir à lescargot une matière (11) capable de stimuler chez celui-ci la production de mucus, ce stimulant étant dans un état fluide et étant mis en contact avec lescargot par lintermédiaire de lair ambiant entourant celui-ci, en particulier par pulvérisation dans lenvironnement aérien entourant lescargot. La matière stimulant la production de mucus comprend un agent actif dissous dans un solvant, ledit solvant étant en particulier constitué deau, et ledit agent actif étant en particulier défini par un sel, de préférence du chlorure de sodium.
