The first transistor (T1) drives a potential at the external terminal (P2) in accordance with the first drive signal (S3). A first capacitor (C1) includes a first end coupled to the gate terminal of the first transistor (T1) and a second end coupled to the external terminal (P2). The output circuit (34) also includes a circuit portion (44) coupled to the first transistor (T1). The circuit portion (44) maintains the first transistor (T1) in an inactivated state when the gate terminal of the first transistor (T1) is in a floating state.
