Combined, mineral desulfurizing- and reducing agent (10) comprises porous granules (12) comprising a core (14) and an agglomeration layer (16) enveloping the core, which comprises at least a desulfurizing agent comprising calcium hydroxide, and at least one reducing agent precursor containing urea, where the granules have calcium hydroxide in a proportion of at least 60 wt.% and urea in a proportion of at least 3 wt.%, based on the total dry matter and a substantially spherical shape. An independent claim is also included for producing combined, mineral desulfurizing- and reducing agent comprising producing granules by granulating a mixed material comprising at least calcium hydroxide, optionally urea in powder form and optionally additionally in the form of grains and a parent particle, and water, or an aqueous urea solution to be provided when the mixed material dose not contain or contains a lower than a desired amount of urea into a granulating or pelletized mixer, and then drying the obtained granules.
