The present invention describes a lift chair for assisting a person moving between a seated and q standing position. More specifically, the present invention relates to a lift chair which provides additional support to the user during movement between the seated and standing position by definig a space that allows the user to stand within the boundary of the lift chair, which provides better access to the arms of the chair that can be used to support the user when moved between the seated and standing position. <；Figure 2>；
