PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for objectively determining an impression of a size of eyes using three-dimensional shape information.SOLUTION: A method for determining an impression of the size of eyes includes: acquiring, as a cheek width, a width of cheek bone positions below the lateral canthi on an intersection between a plane that passes through the left/right lateral canthi of a subject in a front view state and is vertical to a ground surface, and a surface of the face of the subject acquiring an area of at least one eye of the subject calculating a relative value between the acquired area of at least one eye and the cheek width and identifying an impression of the size of the eyes of the subject corresponding to the calculated relative value using correspondence between each relative value between the area of at least one eye and the cheek width, and each impression classification of the size of the eyes of the person.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】3次元形状情報を用いて目の大きさの印象を客観的に判定する技術を提供する。【解決手段】本方法は、正面視状態の被験者の左右の外眼角を通る地面と垂直な平面と、その被験者の顔の表面との交線上における、外眼角より下方の頬骨位置の幅を頬幅として取得し、被験者の少なくとも一方の目の面積を取得し、取得された少なくとも一方の目の面積と頬幅との間の相対値を算出し、少なくとも一方の目の面積と頬幅との間の各相対値と人の目の大きさの各印象分類との対応関係を用いて、算出された相対値に対応する被験者の目の大きさの印象特定を可能にすることを含む。【選択図】図1
