PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair setting method for reducing a time period of the chemical reaction of a hair setting agent, improving beautiful glossiness and a hand feeling of hair, and prolonging the effects for a long time.SOLUTION: The hair setting method includes: a step for application of a hair set agent, applying the hair set agent to hair and a step for application of a hair replenisher for setting, applying the hair replenisher for setting by 10 to 20 mass% with respect to the hair set agent to the hair. The hair replenisher for setting includes acetic acid by 4 to 7%. After the step for application of a hair replenisher for setting is completed, the hair is left to stand for prescribed time.
