PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding type lawn mower whose safety in rearward travel is enhanced, when driving a mower.SOLUTION: A riding type lawn mower includes: a PTO lever 220 for turning ON/OFF a mower 1 a forward travel pedal 201 a rearward travel pedal 202 a speed change device 200 of a travel device a rearward travel speed change connection mechanism connected to the rearward travel pedal 202 and a trunnion shaft 211 of the speed change device 200 and changing a vehicle speed according to operation of the rearward travel pedal 202 and a PTO rearward travel restriction connection mechanism connecting the PTO lever 220 to the rearward travel pedal 202. The PTO rearward travel restriction connection mechanism includes: a plate 231 connected to the PTO lever 220 and actuated in accordance with operation of the PTO lever 220 and a pin 235a fastened to a base part of the rearward travel pedal 202 and capable of sliding in a plate long hole 231a in accordance with actuation of the rearward travel pedal 202.
