PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sterilizing microbes, which exhibits sterilizing properties to various kinds of microbes, particularly, to bacteria belonging to genus Moraxella, and to provide a method for suppressing bad smells to be generated when the washed/dried clothing material is worn.SOLUTION: The method for sterilizing microbes comprises a step of bringing a liquid composition, which contains the following (A) component, the following (B) component and a liquid medium, into contact with the bacteria belonging to genus Moraxella. The method for suppressing bad smells of the clothing material comprises the step of bringing the liquid composition, which contains the following (A) component, the following (B) component and the liquid medium, into contact with the clothing material.
