PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-solid temporary coloring composition for hair such that the hair can be set without hardening the hair, that has high holding power of the hairstyle, that has little stickiness feeling, and that can be easily applied without unevenness over the entire hair.SOLUTION: The temporary coloring composition for hair is semi-solid at 25°C and comprises: (A) 10 to 25 mass% of a solid oil having a melting point of 70°C or more (B) 5 to 25 mass% of an oily component which is in a liquid state at 25°C (C) 3 to 15 mass% of a polyhydric alcohol and (D) 0.1 mass% or more of silica.
