PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod body for a fishing rod which has a low flexural rigidity on the vicinity of a tip end thereof and has a high flexural rigidity on the vicinity of a base end thereof.SOLUTION: A rod body for a fishing rod comprises: a body 11 formed of a first material which is formed into a tabular shape extending in a longitudinal direction from a base end to a tip end; and reinforcement bodies 12 each of which is provided on each of both ends in a width direction of the body 11 and formed of a second material having a Young ratio larger than that of the first material.
