In a radially expanded deployed configuration, the inflow end (112, 124, 126, 142, 212, 226, 242) of the valve stent (122, 212, 222) is in contact with the outflow end (114, 130, 146, 214, 230, 246) of the inflow stent (110, 210) and the outflow end (114, 130, 146, 214, 230, 246) of the valve stent (122, 212, 222) is in contact with the inflow end (112, 124, 126, 142, 212, 226, 242) of the outflow stent (140, 14, 240). A delivery system includes a capsule (321) including first, second and third sections (360) and flexible first and second bands (366) between respective sections. The modules of the modular valve prosthesis (100, 200) are aligned with the sections and gaps between the modules are aligned with the bands (366).
