PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supplemental plucking implement for treating foliage to collect root crops by efficiently plucking the same from a field by a little labor and to efficiently carry out foliage-removing operations in harvest treatments of the root crops accompanied with long foliage disturbing harvest operations and preparation operations.SOLUTION: The supplemental plucking implement is constituted by installing a foliage-harvesting device 2 for collecting the foliage of farm crops to a device frame 4 by a pair of foliage-guiding members 2a, 2a, a plucking and conveying device 3 having a backward and upward inclined posture for conveying the foliage backward from the end section of the foliage-harvesting device 2 through a lateral pair of belt conveying mechanisms 3a, 3a, and forming a falling space A for falling the foliage at the conveyance end portion of the plucking and conveying device 3.
