The present invention relates to the production of skin-colorable epiphysical equivalents, including cells derived from differentiation of stromal cells, and the obtained epiphysical equivalents. The invention also relates to an artificial skin comprising said epidermal equivalent, which can be pigmented and optionally comprising a hair follicle, a process for its preparation and its use for evaluating the effects of topical, pharmacological or dermatologic products.
