PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for preparing a skin model having chromatogenous ability from only hair cells and matrix cells by proving that a perfect epidermis comprising particularly a keratinocyte and a melanocyte is provided by culturing matrix cells on an artificial dermis.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an epidermis equivalent having chromatogenous ability and comprising cells derived from the differentiation of matrix cells and to a preparation method thereof. The invention also relates to: a reconstituted skin having a chromatogenous ability, optionally comprising a hair follicle, and comprising the epidermis equivalent； a preparation method thereof； and a topical cosmetic or pharmaceutical use, or a use for evaluating the effect of a dermatological product.
