PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activated carbon-containing cellulose particle having an excellent deodorizing effect.SOLUTION: The activated carbon-containing cellulose particle is obtained by: depositing wood-based activated carbon on a skeleton, which comprises a cellulose fiber and a binder, to obtain an activated carbon-containing cellulose particle precursor and impregnating the activated carbon-containing cellulose particle precursor with an organic solvent. The activated carbon-containing cellulose particle has 80 mass% or higher hardness when measured according to JIS K1474. The solubility parameter of the organic solvent is 9.0-14.0 (cal/cm3)0.5.
