The present invention relates to a planning system, devices and method for assisting in the evaluation of buildings, especially in the design and acceptance stage before a planning authorization committee. The devices comprise a set of parts operable to define a propose building in outline. The set of parts comprise a plurality of profile devices 32, (50 figure 5), wherein each profile device comprises a tripod 33, an upstanding support member, an articulated coupling element 51 supported by the support member with sockets (52-55 figure 5) operably connectable with arms (56-59 figure 5). In use, the arms may be angularly disposed with respect to the support member to define the propose building in outline. The present invention seeks to provide a solution to the problems of the prior art in the realization of a realistic model of a building.
