PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide disinfectants or preservative agents exhibiting excellent bactericidal and in particular fungicidal action even in small application concentration.SOLUTION: This disinfectant composition includes: (a) at least one amine and/or quaternary ammonium salt represented by general formula (Ia) or (Ib) and (b) at least one alkanolamine or its corresponding salt.
