PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an easy weeding operation.SOLUTION: A weeder according to an embodiment includes a moving unit, a generating unit, and a control unit. The moving unit causes a body of the weeder to move on a subject area. The generating unit is disposed in the body of the weeder and generates a high-frequency electric field having an intensity at least high enough to heat water contained in plants on the subject area. The control unit controls the movement on the subject area caused by the moving unit.
