A packaged composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the nutrient liquid contains from about 0.2 to about 5.0% beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate by weight of the nutrient liquid. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the nutrient liquid contains fats, carbohydrates, proteins and beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate, while the protein contains from 50 to 100 wt.% Soluble protein and includes a phosphoserine-containing protein containing at least about 100 mmol of phosphoserine per 1 kg of phosphoserine-containing protein. 6. A composition according to claim 5, characterized in that the soluble protein is selected from sodium caseinate, whey protein concentrate, or combinations thereof.
