PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability of a bush cutter in stopping a bush cutting operation.SOLUTION: A bush cutter is used for cutting an object to be treated by a cutting blade 13 rotationally driven by a power source. The bush cutter has a gear case 12 to be mounted on the tip part of an operation pole 11, a drive shaft 20 rotationally driven by the drive power is installed in the gear case 12, and a clutch 38 is installed between the drive shaft 20 and a cutting blade shaft 25 attached with the cutting blade 13. The clutch 38 has a clutch plate 33 on the drive side to be attached to a sliding shaft 34 splined to the drive shaft 20 and a clutch plate 31 on the driven side to be attached to the cutting blade shaft 25, and the cutting blade shaft 25 can be switched between a power transmitted state and an open state to the drive shaft 20.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】刈払い作業を停止させる際における刈払機の作業性を向上させる。【解決手段】 刈払機は動力源により回転駆動される刈刃13により被処理物を刈り払うために使用される。刈払機は操作桿11の先端部に設けられるギヤケース12を有し、ギヤケース12内には駆動源により回転駆動される駆動軸20が設けられ、刈刃13が取り付けられた刈刃軸25と駆動軸20との間にはクラッチ38が設けられている。クラッチ38は駆動軸20にスプライン結合される摺動軸34に取り付けられる駆動側のクラッチ板33と刈刃軸25に取り付けられる従動側のクラッチ板31とを有し、刈刃軸25は駆動軸20に対して動力伝達状態と開放状態とに切り換えられる。【選択図】図2
