PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial substance extraction method of extracting an antibacterial substance from woody waste as industrial waste, an extracted antibacterial substance, and pharmaceutical preparations and the like including the antibacterial substance.SOLUTION: An antibacterial substance extraction method includes: a grinding process of grinding woody waste to obtain ground powder； and a subcritical treatment process of bringing the ground powder into contact with an organic solvent in the subcritical state.
