PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmic examination apparatus equipped with a joy stick device which allows returning mechanisms to be switched to operate or not operate in accordance with an area where an operation member is present.
SOLUTION: The ophthalmic examination apparatus is provided with the joy stick device (1) having: an operation member (31) which is held in a manner of being operable inclined at least in multi-directions the return mechanisms (34, 36) for returning the operation member (31) in the direction of a center position and a restriction part (37) which restricts returning of the operation member (31) in the direction of the center position by the return mechanisms (34, 36) when the operation member (31) is in a range from the center position to a predetermined inclination angle.
