PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable gel composition containing a specific branched volatile organopolysiloxane, and adjustable as appropriate to easy-to-handle viscosity and/or hardness, and to provide a stable cosmetic compounded with this gel composition, excellent in compatibility with and adhesion to the skin when applied onto the skin or the like and having good feeling in use and function with slight oily feeling.SOLUTION: The gel composition comprises (A) a volatile organopolysiloxane of general formula(1):[(CH3)3SiO]3SiCH3 and (B) a fructooligosaccharide fatty acid ester with a degree of fatty acid esterification per monosaccharide unit of 2.2 or higher.
