Disclosed herein are compositions comprising a volatile silicone solvent, a germicide selected from the group consisting of alky quaternary ammonium germicides, lauric acid and undecylenic acid and a polydimethylsiloxane having a viscosity of 50,000 cSt or greater. Compositions of the invention can advantageously be applied to broken skin such as abrasions without pain and touching. Agents can thereby be delivered to the skin in a few seconds leaving behind a thin antimicrobial film.
