A unit used to calibrate an analysis apparatus, and especially for gas chromatography, has a diffusion vessel (1) containing a supply vessel (2) and an integrated diffusion capillary (3), which are made of the same chemically inert material, e.g. glass. The diffusion capillary has an inner diameter of 1-3 mm and a length of 5-70 mm.
