The present invention relates to a genetically modified bacterial strain, in particular a strain of Bacillus thuringiensis, expressing kurstakin and not expressing Cry toxin; to a method of producing kurstakin in a liquid medium; and to the use of kurstakin as antifungal and biosurfactant.
