A method for automatically feeding milk producing animals (12) in a milking parlor (10) comprising a row (14) of milking stalls (1, 2,..., N) accessible in serial order to a plurality of milk producing animals (12) from a front end thereof (14a) is provided. Feed is dispensed (72) into the feed manger of the milking stall (1) located in the far end (14b) of the row of milking stalls in connection with the first one of the plurality of milk producing animals entering the row of milking stalls to entice the plurality of milk producing animals to enter the row of milking stalls. The first milk producing animal is identified (71) when she enters the row of milking stall and/ or when she enters the milking stall in the far end. The feed dispensed into the feed manger of the milking stall located in the far end is subtracted (73) from the feed ration individually adapted for the first milk producing animal, thereby arriving in a corrected feed ration individually adapted for the first milk producing animal. The corrected feed ration is dispensed (74) into the feed manger of the milking stall located in the far end in connection with the milking of the first milk producing animal, thereby allowing her to consume her individually adapted feed ration.
