A device for treating a human or animal joint, the joint comprising two articular surfaces and the device comprising: two articular portions (1 and 2) capable of at least limiting the articulation with respect to each other and being equipped to fix one in each of articular surfaces with the help of a material that has thermoplastic properties and vibratory energy, characterized in that the material that has thermoplastic properties is disposed on the outer sides of each articular portion (1 and 2), and that the device comprises a portion of temporary connector (4) being arranged so that it can be released between or around the two articular portions (1 and 2) and connecting the two articular portions (1 and 2) to form a rigid and non-articulated entity so that the device constitute a single piece at least for the duration of the implantation procedure.Un dispositivo para tratar una articulación humana o animal, comprendiendo la articulación dos superficies articulares y comprendiendo el dispositivo: dos porciones articulares (1 y 2) capaces de al menos limitar la articulación una respecto de otra y estando equipada para fijarse una en cada una de las superficies articulares con la ayuda de un material que tiene propiedades termoplásticas y energía vibratoria, caracterizado por que el material que tiene propiedades termoplásticas está dispuesto en los lados externos de cada porción articular (1 y 2), y por que el dispositivo comprende una porción de conector temporal (4) estando dispuesta de manera que pueda liberarse entre o alrededor de las dos porciones articulares (1 y 2) y conectando las dos porciones articulares (1 y 2) para formar una entidad rígida y no articulada de modo que el dispositivo constituya una única pieza al menos durante el tiempo que dure el procedimiento de implantación.
