An energy storagemember within thehousing can exert force on a movable member to move the movable member withinthehousing to transition the apparatus from an initial configuration to anactivatedconfiguration. An electronic circuit system coupled to the housing, has aswitch and aspeaker, and produces recorded speech output when the switch is manipulated. Auseindicator moves within the housing along with the movable member from a firstto a secondposition when the contact member is in a fixed position relative to thehousing, and provides avisual indication when the apparatus is in the activated configuration and theuse indicator isin the second position.
