The present invention provides an apparatus and system for enabling and monitoring injection of a medication to a subject. The present invention includes a housing for a prefilled syringe and the housing incorporates means for generating and transmitting signals when the components of the syringe cooperate to deliver fluid. Signals can be transmitted as radio waves from a transmitter on the housing to a receiver that can be conveniently on a spaced equipment like a cell phone. The mobile phone or other receiving device incorporates computer software for receiving and storing signals from the transmitter as a record of the injection process. Computer software can include information on medication and injection process and other information on treatment.
