PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article that can provide a good wearing feel by avoiding the formation of excessive bulges or wrinkles such as sags under the crotch when it is worn.SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1A includes an absorber 22 formed of various portions including a front end portion 42, a central portion 44, and a rear end portion 46 in its longitudinal direction. A slit 48 penetrating the absorber 22 from front to back is formed from the central portion 44 to the front end portion 42 side. The slit 48 includes in at least a portion of the central portion 44 a first area 48a extending in the longitudinal direction of the absorber 22 and a second area 48b configured so that both wall surfaces forming the slit 48 widen toward side edges of the absorber 22 toward the front end portion 42.
