PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which easily follows to movement of a wearer, and secures air permeability of a region contacting a back part of a wearer.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 100 is divided into a front side region 1 disposed on an abdominal side of a wearer, and a rear side region 2 disposed on a back part side of a wearer, with a center of a longitudinal direction as a boundary. The absorbent article comprises: an absorber 3 for absorbing and holding a liquid a liquid-permeable top sheet 4 disposed on a skin-facing face side of the absorber 3 and a liquid non-permeable back sheet 5 disposed on a skin non-facing face side of the absorber 3. The skin facing-face side of the rear side region 2 comprises a recess formation region 20 defined by one or plural recess parts 10 which become dent toward the skin non-facing face side, and the recess formation region 20 is configured so that, width direction length (lateral width) orthogonal to the longitudinal direction becomes shorter, as going to the center of the longitudinal direction from a rear end part side of the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
