PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which reduces discomfort caused by wetting a skin with a body fluid during the wearing by achieving less liquid residue on a surface.SOLUTION: In a crotch part B, a recess part forming area in which a plurality of recessed parts 45 by embossment performed from a side of a non skin-facing surface 4b are formed is formed on the non skin-facing surface 4b of an absorber 4, and a skin-facing surface 4a is flat since the embossment is not performed from a side of the skin-facing surface 4a, that is located on the opposite side of the non skin-facing surface 4b, of the absorber 4. In addition, in an abdominal side part A and a back side part C, the recess part forming area in which a plurality of the recessed parts 45 by embossment performed from the side of the skin-facing surface 4a are formed is formed on the skin-facing surface 4a of the absorber 4, and the non skin-facing surface 4b is flat since the embossment is not performed from the side of the non skin-facing surface 4b, located on the opposite side of the skin-facing surface 4a, of the absorber 4.
