The present invention relates to an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic material for skin which comprises the following ingredients (A) to (D). (A) glyceryl tricaprylate, (B) monostearic acid polyethylene glycol (100, 120, or 150 mol polyoxyethylene adduct), (C) a microgel which is obtained by dissolving and radically polymerizing a water-soluble ethylenic unsaturated monomer in a dispersed phase in a composition which uses an organic solvent or oil as a dispersion medium and water as a dispersed phase, the microgel constituting a thickener formed of the microgel which is obtained by radically polymerizing dimethylacrylamide and 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid in a condition in which a one-phase microemulsion or a fine W/O emulsion is formed by a surfactant, and (D) water.
