PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crop shredding device in which, even on the occurrence of clogging in a shredding unit having a cylinder cutter, the crops clogged can easily be eliminated.SOLUTION: A crop shredding device 1 includes a conveyance unit 3 for conveying the crops harvested, a shredding unit 4 for shredding the crops being conveyed with the conveyance unit 3 using a cylinder cutter 43 rotated in a cylinder cover 45, and a discharging part 5 for blowing up the crops shredded with the shredding unit 4 in a blower. An opening and closing cover 7 is provided for opening and closing a free end 74 side in the lower part centering on a fulcrum 71 in the bottom side of the cylinder cover 45 for rotating the cylinder cutter 43. Then, when opening this opening and closing cover 7, a side portion is brought into abutment with a lower frame 46 and the free end 74 side is prevented from coming in contact with the ground.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
