The present invention relates to a cover opening and closing device for a sterilizing machine, capable of automatically opening and closing an upper cover in a sterilizing machine of high temperature and high pressure or a vacuum facility. Specifically, the upper cover of a sterilizing container is axially connected to vertically rotate, and an upper end of an ascending and descending unit is axially connected. So, the upper cover is opened and closed by being vertically rotated by ascending and descending movements of the ascending and descending unit. Even if the ascending and descending unit continuously descends after the upper cover is completely closed, the ascending and descending unit descends while extending a tensile spring without pressing the upper cover. Therefore, the cover opening and closing device for a sterilizing machine can prevent an operation load. Since a hinge shaft connecting the upper cover and the ascending and descending unit is separated by a solenoid unit, the upper cover is manually opened and closed in a blackout in which the ascending and descending unit cannot be used.본 발명은 고온 고압의 멸균기 또는 그 밖의 진공 설비 등에서 상부 뚜껑을 자동 개폐하는 뚜껑 개폐장치에 관한 것으로서, 좀더 상세하게는 멸균 용기의 상부 뚜껑을 상하 회동 가능하도록 축 결합함과 함께 승하강 작동수단의 상단을 축 결합하여 승하강 수단의 승하강 작동에 의해 상부 뚜껑을 상하 회동시켜 개폐하되, 상기 승하강 수단이 상부 뚜껑의 폐쇄 완료 후 계속적으로 하강 작동하여도 승하강 수단이 상부 뚜껑을 더 이상 가압 작동하지 않고 인장 스프링을 인장시키면서 하강하므로 작동 부하를 방지하고, 상기 상부 뚜껑과 승하강 수단을 연결하는 힌지축을 솔레노이드 작동부에 의해 이탈시키는 것에 의해 승하강 수단을 사용할 수 없는 정전시 상부 뚜껑을 수동으로 개폐 사용할 수 있도록 하는데 그 특징이 있다.
