PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which has nice touch feeling, is provided with a leakage preventing wall excellent in fitting property, and is excellent in a wearing feeling and a leakage preventing property.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes a surface sheet 2, a back sheet 3, and an absorbent body 4 between both the sheets 2 and 3, and is vertically long practically. The leakage preventing walls 6 and 6 in a hollow loop shape are provided on both sides of the absorbent article 1 in the longitudinal direction, respectively. Each of the respective leakage preventing walls 6 and 6 includes: an upper fixed end 6a formed by fixing a sheet material 61, for forming the leakage preventing wall, to the skin abutting surface side of the absorbent body 4 and a lower fixed end 6b formed by fixing the sheet material 61 at a part closer to the side of the back sheet 3 than the upper fixed end 6a, and support walls 7 and 7 erected so as to be in surface contact with the lower half part of the leakage preventing walls 6 and 6 are provided on the outer part of the respective leakage preventing walls 6 and 6 in the width direction of the absorbent article 1.
