A neonatal drape device for protecting a neonatal subject, comprising a sheet configured to receive the neonatal subject on its back. The sheet has a base, at least one side edge, and a plurality of separation lines. The separation line extends inwardly from at least one side edge of the sheet. The sheet is sufficiently flexible to wrap and adapt to the newborn subject. The sheet further includes a plurality of notches disposed adjacent to the base, each at an inner end of one of the separation lines. The notch is configured to allow the cable to extend from the interior space of the neonatal drape device to an external location while the sheet is wrapped around the neonatal subject.
