PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of removing contamination and foreign matters accumulated in a tube of a wash nozzle.SOLUTION: An endoscope 2 includes an endoscope wash nozzle 50 for jetting fluid that has been sent to a distal end 21 of an insertion section 11 through a tube 43 disposed at the insertion section 11, towards a surface of an observation window 34 disposed at the distal end 21 of the insertion section 11. The endoscope further includes a side opening portion 53a formed on a side face of the endoscope wash nozzle 50.
