PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an organopolysiloxane graft polymer, in which the odor intensity of the organopolysiloxane graft polymer obtained by utilizing a mercapto compound can be lowered and odor quantity thereof can be changed.SOLUTION: The method for producing the organopolysiloxane graft polymer comprises the steps of: radically polymerizing mercaptan-modified organopolysiloxane and an unsaturated monomer in the presence of a solvent to obtain a polymer solution (I) and distilling the solvent while introducing steam into the polymer solution.
