PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strut for an electric fence capable of easily giving an electric shock to a wild animal when being used for the electric fence, and to provide an electric fence capable of easily giving an electric shock to a wild animal.SOLUTION: A strut 1 for an electric fence includes an insulating strut body 2, a first metal body 3 fixed to the peripheral surface on one side of the strut body 2, a second metal body 4 fixed to the peripheral surface on the opposite side to the peripheral surface on one side of the strut body 2, and a conductive member support part 5 constituted of one coil wire.
