The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising Clinacanthus nutans extract, and more specifically, to a cosmetic composition comprising Clinacanthus nutans extract as a main ingredient. The Clinacanthus nutans extract of the present invention is highly stable such that it does not cause side effects on the skin, and has an antioxidant activity that promotes the growth of human dermal fibroblasts and the generation of collagen therein, to thereby improve the moisturization, thickness, elasticity, and texture of the skin and enhance skin barriers, and treat the appearance of wrinkles and hyperpigmentation on the skin. Accordingly, the composition of the present invention containing such extracts can be used as an ingredient in functional cosmetic products that improve the quality of skin without irritating the skin.본 발명은 클리나칸투스 누탄스(Clinacanthus nutans) 추출물의 기능성 화장료 조성물에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 클리나칸투스 누탄스(Clinacanthus nutans) 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 피부 개선용 화장료 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 클리나칸투스 누탄스(Clinacanthus nutans) 추출물은 피부에 부작용을 일으키지 않는 안정한 특징이 있고, 항산화 활성을 갖고 인간진피섬유아세포의 생장 촉진 활성 및 인간진피섬유아세포 내의 콜라겐 합성 증가 활성을 통해 피부보습 개선, 피부주름 개선, 피부두께 개선, 피부탄력 개선, 피부장벽 개선, 피부 결 개선 및 색소 침착 개선 효과를 가지므로, 이를 유효성분으로 포함하는 본 발명의 조성물은 피부에 자극을 일으키지 않는 피부 개선을 위한 기능성 화장품의 소재로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.
