The invention relates to novel cell-binding agent-cytotoxic agent conjugates, wherein the cell-binding agent (CBA) is covalently linked to the cytotoxic agent through an aldehyde group obtained from oxidation of a 2-hydroxyethylamine moiety on the CBA. The invention also provides methods of preparing the conjugates of the present invention. The invention further provides composition and methods useful for inhibiting abnormal cell growth or treating a proliferative disorder in a mammal using the conjugates of the invention.本發明係關於新穎的細胞結合劑-細胞毒性劑偶聯物，其中該細胞結合劑(CBA)經由自該CBA上2-羥基乙胺部分之氧化得到的醛基共價連接至該細胞毒性劑。本發明亦提供製備本發明之偶聯物之方法。本發明進一步提供可用於使用本發明之偶聯物在哺乳動物中抑制異常細胞生長或治療增生性病症的組成物及方法。
