To provide a method for cultivating plants which promotes growth of plants in plant cultivation so as to efficiently increase yield of the plants, and to provide plant cultivation equipment. ! The method for cultivating plants includes: setting a solar battery panel to a part of farmland where the plants are cultivated; driving supplemental light sources with electric power generated from the solar battery panel; and applying supplemental light emitted from the supplemental light sources, in addition to the solar light, to the plants cultivated in another part of the farmland to grow them. !
