PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an artificial reef which has a columnar body as an element, in a rational manner.SOLUTION: There is provided a production method of an artificial reef by integrating columnar bodies A-C which are formed of a ferroconcrete produced in advance and which have a longitudinal protrusion 2 or a circumferential groove 5 formed on a peripheral surface thereof, with a base D for producing the artificial reef. The method comprises: a step for forming a bottomed hole 10 for inserting an end 8 of the columnar body B into the base D； and a step for inserting the end of the columnar body into the bottomed hole formed in the base.
