The problem to be solved is to provide a thickening composition with improved dispersity, wherein the thickening composition with more improved dispersity than traditional things is used in a thickening agent and so on, and can inhibit the formation of lumps. When producing the thickening composition, if the granulation is necessary, there is no need to consider the influence of the dosage of binder on the composition, and the operation becomes easier. The solution is the thickening composition with improved dispersity which comprises metal salt containing starch hydrolysate and polysaccharide thickener, wherein the content of metal salt is 0.5~40 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the starch hydrolysate.
