PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of being downsized and reduced in cost and a manufacturing method of the endoscope.SOLUTION: An endoscope is provided with a lens unit 35 for accommodating a lens in a lens barrel 39, an imaging device 33 of which an imaging surface 41 is covered by a device cover glass 43 and an adhesion resin 37 for fixing the lens unit 35 in which an optical axis LC of the lens is coincide with a center of the imaging surface 41, to the device cover glass 43 having a separation part 47. The endoscope is preferably covered by a mold resin 17 in all over the imaging device 33 and at least one part of the lens unit 35.【課題】小型化、コスト低減が図れる内視鏡及び内視鏡の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】内視鏡において、鏡筒３９にレンズを収容するレンズユニット３５と、撮像面４１が素子カバーガラス４３によって覆われる撮像素子３３と、撮像面４１の中心にレンズの光軸ＬＣを一致させたレンズユニット３５を、離間部４７を有して素子カバーガラス４３に固定する接着用樹脂３７と、を設けた。内視鏡は、撮像素子３３の全体と、レンズユニット３５の少なくとも一部分とがモールド樹脂１７によって覆われることが好ましい。【選択図】図３
