PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of being downsized and reduced in cost and a manufacturing method of the endoscope.SOLUTION: An endoscope includes a lens unit 35 for accommodating a lens in a lens barrel 39, an imaging device 33 of which an imaging surface is covered by a device cover glass 43, and a transmission cable 31 electrically connected to the imaging device 33. The lens unit 35 in which an optical shaft of a lens coincides with a center of the imaging surface and the device cover glass 43 are fixed by an adhesion resin 37. At least a part of the lens unit 35, the imaging device 33, and a part of the transmission cable 31 are covered by a mold resin 17. The maximum outer diameter of a tip of the fixed endoscope is set as about 1.5 mm.
