A device for training a classification network for character recognition, and a character recognition device and method. The device and method train a symmetric network by constructing a sample pair using unmarked samples, initialize a classification network by using parameters of the trained symmetric network, and train the initialized classification network by using marked samples, thus, the accurate recognition rate of the classification network can be improved, and labelling costs can be reduced.
